playing with my friends
While daddy is away mommy and baby bubba will play, ha ha!! We recently were invited to attend a play group by another SF wife (her husband is on Michael's team) and we had such a great time! Parker was the youngest but with how big he is and his ability to walk you couldn't really tell, ha ha! He had a great time and I had a blast visiting with the other moms. So we will definitely be going back. We have also enjoyed having play time with our friends Katie and her son Ethan. That is the wonderful mother that invited us to play group!!! So we really have been keeping busy and we have made so many new friends. Parker said "ball" the other day he carries around this soft football all the time and so I'm constantly saying ball to him well the other day he just said it back!!! Every time I say ball he will actually walk over and get it, my little smarty pants. Luckily daddy called right after and he said it for daddy over the phone. Our little man is growing up so fast. He is like a little sponge right now soaking up every thing he can. He is such an observant child, I watched him watching a little boy at play group play with this toy and then Parker walked over and was trying to do the same thing the boy was doing. It was so cool to see him learning. I am amazed how much he is like Michael in that way, if you know Michael you know he picks up things very fast and Parker seems to be the same way. Thank goodness he takes after his dad because goodness knows it takes me time after time after time to get something down, ha ha!!! I am excited to visit KC in a week and extremely excited to see my hubby in three weeks!

sooooooo BIG!!!
As you can see we have been trying to keep busy while daddy is away to help pass the time. We have been to the park, the toy store to buy a few new "big boy" toys, the front yard to play in the water, over to Katie's house so Parker could play with his buddy Ethan, and to our friend Jessica's house so that Parker could play with his girlfriend Addison in the baby pool!! We have had a blast but just wish daddy was here to enjoy it all with us=( We also went to the pediatrician for Parker's shots and his 10 month check-up, however this is not some thing we enjoyed, ha ha! Parker weighs 25 lbs and is measuring 31 inches long which puts him in the 97th percentile. She said as of right now he is the average height of a 15-16 month old. He is our big healthy boy!

While daddy is away Parker and I have been trying to keep busy to help pass the time. So today we went to the park for the first time. We had so much funny. We went with my friend Amanda and her two boys William and Danny. Parker sat in his stroller and ate some snacks while watching the kids run around and then finally starting getting antsy wanting down. So I put on his shoes and let him go. He is walking with no problem now and amazingly stayed up as kids were zooming past him. Daddy was soo excited to hear he was doing so well with walking. I also put some pics up of Parker eating his favorite food..... fruit and avocados!!!

Sorry.....
Sorry I have been so awful about posting lately=( We loved our trip to Kansas City, it was so much better this time because daddy was with us!!! Michael enjoyed playing golf pretty much everyday, he has become pretty addicted to golf but rarely gets the chance to play so I was pretty excited that he got to play so much while we were home. We also left Parker for the first time, Michael and I went to Chicago for four days for a wedding. It was hard leaving him but I knew he was in good hands with my parents, and honestly he prefers his Nana over anyone including his mother. Michael and I had a blast in Chicago but of course I left my camera at home so I will have to get pictures from other couples that were there and post those later. As always we were sad to leave Kansas City, but Parker and I will be back in August for a few weeks while daddy is away training. Speaking of training Michael is away right now and will be for close to two months so I am officially a single parent right now and YIKES it is a lot of work. Parker has also recently decided since he is sleeping through the night he will cut out his second nap of the day. So that has been just wonderful ughhhh, we are working on it hopefully we get back in the groove of two naps because mommy could really use that second break during the day AND he really needs it or else he is a lil monster until bed time. He is a walking and crawling machine and now waves bye bye, claps for patty cake, and can do the funny sound by waving his hand in front of his mouth soooo cute!!! He also has found the stairs and the cat water and food so "NO" seems to be my favorite word lately. He is growing up WAY too fast=( We are really missing daddy but look forward to our trip to KC!

About Me
- babykeenan
- Our family started when Michael and I met in the summer of 2003. We fell deeply in love and married on April 20, 2006. We have been truly blessed and the BEST blessing that has happened to us is the birth of our baby boy Parker Gabriel Keenan. He was born on September 28, 2008 at 2am weighing 10.2 lbs and measuring 23 inches long. He is so amazing and Michael and I cherish every moment with him, never knowing when Michael might be deployed makes the time even sweeter. We love God and truly are trying to raise Parker to have a strong relationship with his maker. We miss our family but we are so thankful to be stationed closer to them. God is good!
