Parker had his third set of shots, we are a little behind we missed his two month shots when we were home in KC. I always HATE those appts. luckily daddy was off work on Friday and could go with us. I turned away while Michael stood by Parker during the awful, terrible, horrible event=) Parker did really well as always I did way worse then anyone in the room, ha haha!! He is weighing 23 lbs and measuring 30 inches long which puts him in the 80th percentile for his age. He is a big, healthy boy. We were anxious to find out if he had an ear infection because he wasn't sleeping AT ALL and was constantly tugging at his ears for the past week. Our pediatrician said his ears looked just fine BUT it looked like the poor baby is working on getting four teeth in. I felt terrible for not knowing=( She said to give him some Tylenol and actually to give him a little more than we had in the past. Between the Tylenol and Highlands teething tablets he slept through the night, he needed it I know he was exhausted. So far we see two teeth on his upper gums coming through and suprisingly it is his fangs so he will look a little weird for awhile with his fangs and nothing else up there, ha ha!! The ped said usually the top front teeth come in but occasionally the fangs make it in first. Oh well we will have a little vampire on our hands. Parker moves all around the living room holding on to the couch and coffee table. He actually was walking back and forth between daddy and I. Michael would set him up he would walk to me then I would turn him around and he would walk back to daddy. We both were so excited. Michael and I also watched as Parker picked up his gerber puff all by himself and put it in his mouth we both started clapping and cheering then got quiet very quickly as we realized we were in a resturaunt, ha ha!! Oh the things that make you excited when you have a child=) We are all doing very well, life is grand!

Tired of sitting it's time to move and groove=)
Parker is getting very antsy and sitting just isn't good enough anymore. He LOVES to pull up and stand now and prefers to be doing this at all times. He also loves his walker it gives him the freedom to knock over mommy's candles, decorative balls, pictures, and so on. He is a lil monster, such a boy, ha ha!! It has rained here almost everyday for the past two weeks so on Saturday the weather was just beautiful so we decided to get out and mulch our landscaping. We took Parker out in his walker and he thoroughly enjoyed watching mommy and daddy work. I have to say I got a good laugh when Michael became extremely frustrated after he under estimated how many bags of mulch we would need not once but twice needless to say we will be finishing the mulch this weekend. He refused to go back to Lowes a third time, ha ha!! We are looking forward to seeing Nana and Papa this weekend. They are on there way to pick up a 5th wheel trailer in Ohio and they are going to come stay with us for a few days on their way home, woo hoo!!! It is about 5 hours out of the way but when it comes to seeing their grandbaby that is nothing;)

Kansas City Visit!!!
As you can see from the pictures we have had a blast in Kansas City!! I am always sad to leave, it is extremely hard not to live close to family. Even more so now that we have Parker. BUT I am excited to return home and see Michael it has been three weeks now since I have seen him. I know he is dying to get his hands on his baby boy. While we were in KC we celebrated Papa's birthday at Chuckie Cheese, oh the things Papa's will do for thier grandbabies=) Parker was a little overwhelmed at first but actually started to enjoy some of the rides. It was so wonderful to see him get excited when the ride would start up it was priceless. I was so happy that we got to spend time with my mom's side and my dad's side of the family! We celebrated my Aunt's last treatment of chemo WOO HOO by going out to lunch, it was wonderful to see her she is one tough woman! We also enjoyed some quality time with Michael's side of the family but of course I forgot to take a camera (not mine because as always I left it at home in TN) so I don't have any pictures. Hopefully I can get some and post them on here. Parker enjoyed watching his cousins run around and play, one day soon he will be able to join in=) Speaking of running around, Parker took his first steps. He was holding on to the couch and wanted to reach his Nana so he turned around and took two steps to get to her!!! It was exciting and scary all in one. Because with walking comes bumps and bruises and I just don't think I am ready for that. Hopefully it will be a little while longer before he is up and walking. He really shows no interest in crawling he just wants to pull up and stand. I was happy that Nana and Papa got to see it but sad that Michael missed out. It was such a great visit but as always I am extremely sad to leave=(

About Me
- babykeenan
- Our family started when Michael and I met in the summer of 2003. We fell deeply in love and married on April 20, 2006. We have been truly blessed and the BEST blessing that has happened to us is the birth of our baby boy Parker Gabriel Keenan. He was born on September 28, 2008 at 2am weighing 10.2 lbs and measuring 23 inches long. He is so amazing and Michael and I cherish every moment with him, never knowing when Michael might be deployed makes the time even sweeter. We love God and truly are trying to raise Parker to have a strong relationship with his maker. We miss our family but we are so thankful to be stationed closer to them. God is good!
