As always I am bad about updating my blog and when I finally do I have a million pictures to post;) As most of you know Michael is gone and will be for awhile. We are doing well but missing him so much, it was extremely difficult to say goodbye. I am lucky to have my mother here with me for a couple of weeks it really has helped to take my mind off of everything. I have some great army wives here and with the love and support from them, my friends back home, and my family I know that we will be just fine! We have had an overwhelming amount of cards, phone calls, texts, emails, and facebook messages letting us know people are praying for us and I can't tell you how comforting that is. It has truly shown me how much support and love we have from others, and what a great feeling! As you can see from all of the pics I made sure to take a lot of pictures of daddy and Parker before he left. He is such a great father and I know it kills him not to be apart of Parker's everyday life. I am making sure to take tons of pics of everything we do like Parker's first hair cut at a salon. If it wasn't for those suckers it would have been a full on melt down but due to the suckers it was a great experience. It is amazing what a little bit of sugar can do for a kid! Thank you everyone for the support and love! We are counting down the days until our family is complete!

Christmas and New Years 2009-2010

As always I posted a hodge podge of pictures after waiting so long to blog I realize I have a TON of pictures to sort through and post!!! Our Christmas break in KC was fantastic! We had a car FULL of christmas presents and still couldn't fit everything in our SUV. So the rest will have to come home with us after our next visit. Parker enjoyed Christmas this year and was old enough to actually enjoy his presents and even get excited about them. I had to dress him up as Santa again this year, Michael very politely asked me when I was going to quit playing dress up with him, and I said NEVER!! As long as Parker doesn't mind, sooooo probably not for much longer;) It was a bittersweet Christmas, I always love this time of year and LOVE being surrounded by family but in the back of my mind I knew Michael's deployment was right around the corner. He is leaving soon and as you can imagine my heart is hurting. I know Parker and I will be just fine with the support of our family and friends, but no one can take the place of "daddy." Well sorry to leave this blog on a sad note but we do hope all of you had a merry Christmas and have a happy New Year!!!

What crazy weather we have had. We went from 77 degrees and sunny on the weekend to now being around 54 degrees and rainy. So as you can see from my pictures Parker went from wearing summer clothes and playing outside to wearing winter clothes and having to stay inside. Not much as been going on in the Keenan household other than daddy working SOOOO much to get ready for this deployment. It's hard knowing it's right around the corner but it's even harder when he is here and we still aren't seeing him very much. It's ok though I would rather have him fully prepared and ready to go then unprepared and not ready;) Parker is becoming quite the little daredevil lately. He tries to climb on everything as you can see from the pictures his new thing is standing up on his bike, oh dear he definitely keeps me on my toes! He has also been enjoying watching the farmer plow the fields behind our house he LOVES the tractors and stands at our back door making engine noises, I love it. He is all boy! He is learning so many new things everyday just the other day I told Michael I was going up to give him a bath and before I could finish my sentence he was up the stairs and in his bathroom ready to go!!! It's amazing how much he knows! We are really looking forward to spending time with family over Thanksgiving, which is right around the corner, oh how times flies.

We had a fantastic Halloween! Nana and Papa came to visit and actually were the ones to take baby bubba trick or treating. Michael and I watched while we handed out candy at our house. They only made it to a few house, Parker had no idea why he was being made to wear this heavy dalmatian outfit and walk up to strange front doors, ha ha! BUT he did LOVE eating the candy as you can see in the picture where he is a slobbery mess. We had a fantastic Halloween and we were SOOO happy that we got to share it with Nana and Papa. I also felt so blessed when Nana and Papa decided that Nana would stay the week to help out. Michael has been working super long hours so I was so excited to have Nana here! Papa went back to KC for work, but then drove back up this weekend to pick her and the doggies up. So thank you so much Nana for helping out and thank you Papa for driving so much! I think overall Parker enjoyed Halloween but I have a feeling he will understand whats going on a little better next year!

About Me

My photo
Our family started when Michael and I met in the summer of 2003. We fell deeply in love and married on April 20, 2006. We have been truly blessed and the BEST blessing that has happened to us is the birth of our baby boy Parker Gabriel Keenan. He was born on September 28, 2008 at 2am weighing 10.2 lbs and measuring 23 inches long. He is so amazing and Michael and I cherish every moment with him, never knowing when Michael might be deployed makes the time even sweeter. We love God and truly are trying to raise Parker to have a strong relationship with his maker. We miss our family but we are so thankful to be stationed closer to them. God is good!
