Well here we are at almost 31 weeks looking mighty large! I can't tell you how many people have made remarks such as "wow how big is that baby you are carrying," or "you are really carrying that baby all in front." The best remark came from a lady the other day walking her dog as I was cutting my roses she proceeded to say "oh my sweetheart it's going to be any day now, huh?" HA HA I just looked at Michael with a smile and looked back at her and said "yup." Even though we all know I still have two months I just didn't feel like saying anything=) It honestly just makes me chuckle, I like that people acknowledge that I am pregnant it is such an exciting time for Michael and I and I love talking about it even when I am telling someone it's not going to be any day now but two more months! I will admit my belly has shot out in the past three weeks. I am beginning to get a little worried at how big this baby is going to be. Michael was 9.4 and I was around 9.0, actually 9.2 my mother corrected me and she deserves the extra 2 ounces she is the one that had to birth me. So basically I am saying I have a feeling this will be a nice size baby. That is ok we want that healthy looking baby boy. We have been working very hard on the nursery. I will post a picture of it when it is all complete. Michael has done quite a bit from striping the wall to putting together the furniture. I helped as much as I could. I am really looking forward to my baby shower and getting to see all of my loved ones. I always love going home, there is no place like home. I love TN but MO will always be home for Michael and I. The baby shower couldn't come at a better time, Michael has been extremely busy with work and has been away quite a bit in the past three weeks and will continue to be on this crazy schedule for the next couple of weeks. So it is a great time for me to fly home and have a wonderful time seeing my family and friends. Well if you see me anytime soon just say this "WOW Jamie you can barely tell you are pregnant you have such a tiny belly!" HA HA HA!!!

This week me and Parker are in Kansas City visiting Grandma and Grandpa while Daddy is in Ohio on a training exercise. We are so lucky to also be visiting the same time that Uncle Tyler and Aunt Natalie are visiting! Aunt Natalie isn't quite Parker's Aunt yet but we are all hoping she will be one day. We have enjoyed being home sooo much. There is no place like home. Even though Michael and I have started a life else where we still call KC home. I put a few pictures from our trip up so everyone could see how much fun we have been having. I am a little over 26 weeks and still feeling well. My ankles have already began to swell a little I can only imagine how they are going to look in August and September, scary thought. I think they have been swollen more so this week because Grandma and Aunt Natalie like to shop and I have been trying to keep up with them, ha hah. Mom did treat me to a pedicure yesterday and that felt wonderful I sat in a massaging chair and everytime that massager rolled down my lower back Parker really went to town kicking. I decided I would just keep it on my upper back thinking he may not like the little earthquake he is feeling=) Everyone has been able to feel him kick so that has been wonderful. Overall we are great and God continues to bless this pregnancy and keep us both safe!

Nanny and Papa came to visit over Memorial Day weekend. Our goal was to get the outside of our house looking really sharp! As you can see we accomplished that goal. Everyone worked very hard in the hot sun. It looks fantastic! I put a new belly pic up, Parker is now 23 weeks old and kicking up a storm. His kicks and punches have actually become kicks and punches, no longer sweet little twitches, ha ha! Other than mommy's feet hurting everything else is wonderful. Daddy felt lil Parker kick for the first time last week when we were getting ready to go to bed. It always seems that right when I lay down that lil booger gets to grooving. Thank you again Nanny and Papa for all of your hard work to get our house looking beautiful so that Parker can come home to a beautifully landscaped home! Parker has such wonderful grandparents, I know he is going to be crazy about them!

Our baby boy has a name!
Michael and I have finally decided on a name. This has been an ongoing discussion since the day we find out I was pregnant. We honestly could not agree on a SINGLE name. So we decided during the eight hour car ride to MO we would talk about names. I was not looking forward to this car ride, ha ha! So I made a list of names and read them to Michael and he actually picked a name from the list and said he really like it. So our baby's name is.............................................................................................................PARKER GABRIEL KEENAN!
Gabriel is daddy's middle name and we both love those two names together. It has been so wonderful to be able to talk to my belly and say his name. I am already so anxious to have him here but I try to remind myself that this will fly by so enjoy every moment. I just already love him sooo much and can't wait to hold him!

Precious Baby Boy

Well as you can see we had another ultrasound at 20 weeks. When we were home visiting mom and dad or should I say nanny and papa (we are still working on what to call grandma and grandpa) a family/church friend who is an ultrasound tech said she would love to look at our baby boy. Of course I was all for that, I love seeing our baby boy. He looked so perfect moving around a ton as always. Cherri (our friend the ultrasound tech) said he was just as healthy as could be. She said he is average in all areas and is right where he needs to be according to the charts. His head was measuring big at our last ultrasound which had mommy worried a bit, but at this 20 week ultrasound his head was perfect in proportion to his body. He kept bringing his hand to his face like he was looking for his thumb we were all hoping he would find it with us watching but of course not. I honestly think he is going to look just like daddy! Michael and I had a blast in Kansas City and were very sad to leave. We were able to see all of our loved ones and I know our baby boy enjoyed hearing everyone's voices.

About Me

- babykeenan
- Our family started when Michael and I met in the summer of 2003. We fell deeply in love and married on April 20, 2006. We have been truly blessed and the BEST blessing that has happened to us is the birth of our baby boy Parker Gabriel Keenan. He was born on September 28, 2008 at 2am weighing 10.2 lbs and measuring 23 inches long. He is so amazing and Michael and I cherish every moment with him, never knowing when Michael might be deployed makes the time even sweeter. We love God and truly are trying to raise Parker to have a strong relationship with his maker. We miss our family but we are so thankful to be stationed closer to them. God is good!
