Daddy and I laughing together, daddy is so funny

My new Sunday church outfit

LOVE my Valentines Day outfit thank you Nana

I was lucky enough this year to have two very special valentines on Valentines Day! Michael, Parker and I all went out to eat and then to get ice cream. It was a wonderful night. As you can see from the pictures above Nana sent the cutest little Valentines Day outfit. Thanks Nana! Well Parker has officially caught his first cold and I really didn't freak out like I thought I would when he got sick for the first time=) He really never acted sick just had a bad cough and runny nose. He never ran a fever so I held out on taking him to the doctor. I didn't want to be "that" first time mom that takes her baby to the doctor at the sight of a runny nose. Even though I totally wanted to, ha ha! He is doing really good and the runny nose is almost gone, YAY! He is now sleeping through the night again. I felt like I had a newborn again there for awhile because when he was sick he would wake up about every two hours and I would have to clean his nose out, poor baby. So we are hopefully just about through his first cold! Well we hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day.

I thought I would post a picture of Parker and me together since I'm always the one taking the pictures and never in them! I have started back working out and am beginning to feel much better and actually starting to lose some of the baby weight (which I gained WAY too much of). Michael and I both couldn't believe how much Parker is looking less and less like a baby and more like a toddler. My how time flies. We are all doing great. Michael comes home pretty late every evening due to the workload of the school he is in, but he is enjoying it. I'm sorry I can't tell you much more than that about his school because I don't know what he is doing, ha ha. Oh the life of a special forces wife we never know what they are doing, but I think I like it that way=) Parker is growing like a weed and LOVES to bounce in his bouncer seat. He has gotten MUCH better about being in his carseat now that he can hold on to his toys and chew them to death! He really is a great baby he sleeps through the night from 10-7 am now what more can you ask for. We also have moved him into the other room, I was forced by Michael. It was time, everytime we even moved he would wake up so we knew it was time for him to be in his own room. He did great, I did not. I checked on him a MILLION times throughout the night but we made it and he now sleeps great all by himself what a BIG boy! He is still sleeping in his pack n play since we are in NC but he will be in his crib when we get back. I am doing great. I am LOVING being a stay at home mom. It is so wonderful to spend every day with our baby. I also have joined a gym here and Parker goes to the childcare area while I workout so we get a little break from one another. But I tell you what, it was WAY harder to leave him then I thought it would be. I knew I was attached to him but I really got to see just how much when I had to leave him with someone else. Once again he did great I however checked on him numerous times throughout my workout. We have gone a total of 6 times now and everytime I check a little less, LITTLE was the key word=) The Keenans are doing great! OH OH OH and Nana is coming to visit the first week of March WOO HOO!!!

About Me

My photo
Our family started when Michael and I met in the summer of 2003. We fell deeply in love and married on April 20, 2006. We have been truly blessed and the BEST blessing that has happened to us is the birth of our baby boy Parker Gabriel Keenan. He was born on September 28, 2008 at 2am weighing 10.2 lbs and measuring 23 inches long. He is so amazing and Michael and I cherish every moment with him, never knowing when Michael might be deployed makes the time even sweeter. We love God and truly are trying to raise Parker to have a strong relationship with his maker. We miss our family but we are so thankful to be stationed closer to them. God is good!
